The mission of the El Paso Sports Commission is to increase the influx of sports tourism dollars to the El Paso community
through the creation of local tournaments, the enhancement of existing tournaments and
by attracting regional, national and international events to the El Paso area.

Our team is proud to be the first to tout the extraordinary jewel of the Southwest that is El Paso, Texas. The El Paso Sports Commission, a private non-profit organization since 2003, has been extremely effective in negotiating with top regional, national and international organizers to bring in some of the highest quality, world-class sporting events to the El Paso community through hard work, strategic marketing, financial guidance and event promotion.
In the past, we have hosted and sponsored a wide variety of sporting events that have brought in national recognition and substantial sports tourism dollars into
the Sun City by way of hotel rooms, rental cars, restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Some major events include the United States Bowling Congress Women’s and Open Bowling Championships, the Senior Softball USA Texas State Championships, the Conference USA Basketball Championships and the Texas Hispanic Softball Championships, as well as football, running, volleyball, biking and boxing competitions, and a variety of other events and tournaments.
We will continue to strive to make El Paso the top sports tourism destination in the Southwest. From our amazing weather, to our friendly people, to our colorful culture, to our incredible Mexican food, El Paso is a city to embrace and enjoy.
